PoK integral part of India, Pakistan should return it: Kavinder
5/11/2025 10:36:25 PM
Early Times Report

Jammu, May 11: Senior BJP leader and former Deputy Chief Minister, Kavinder Gupta on Sunday reiterated that Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) is an integral part of India and must be returned immediately. He dismissed any need for international mediation, calling it a settled matter under India’s sovereign domain.
Speaking to the media amid rising tensions along the Line of Control (LoC), the BJP stalwart said, “There is no issue called ‘Kashmir dispute’ from India’s side. The real issue is PoK, which is illegally occupied by Pakistan. That land is rightfully ours and must be vacated by Pakistan without delay.”
Referring to recent diplomatic developments, he noted: “Yesterday, the Foreign Secretary said that Pakistan’s DGMO requested dialogue, and an understanding was reached. Further talks are scheduled for May 12. But let me make it clear — our stance is firm. Jammu and Kashmir is an inseparable part of India.”
“The attack in Pahalgam is a barbaric act against humanity. Pakistan’s proxy war using terrorism will not be tolerated any further. The entire nation mourns the loss of innocent lives, and we stand united in our resolve to eliminate terrorism from our soil,” he said.
Kavinder Gupta held Pakistan directly responsible for fomenting unrest and initiating the ongoing conflict, which has already seen multiple ceasefire violations and civilian casualties.
“Pakistan must understand that this is not the India of 1947. We are stronger, united, and determined. If they continue to provoke us through terror, they will face consequences not just on the borders but diplomatically and economically as well,” he warned.
He urged the international community to hold Pakistan accountable for sponsoring terrorism and appealed to citizens to remain vigilant and stand together in solidarity with the armed forces and the families of the victims.
