Early Times Report
SAMBA, May 14: In a powerful expression of patriotism and gratitude, Dogra Degree College organized a dynamic social media campaign under the theme "Rashtra Pratham - Nation First" on 13th May 2025. This digital tribute to the valiant soldiers of the Indian Defence Forces was a joint initiative by the college's NSS Unit and NCC Unit, reflecting a shared commitment to national pride and civic responsibility.
Spearheaded by Bela Thakur, Director of Dogra Educational Trust, the campaign witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, faculty, non-teaching staff, and even the librarian - a testament to the united spirit of the Dogra family. Over 50 participants came together to create and share animation videos, posters, poems, songs, and patriotic messages across social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, and Twitter.
Simran Thakur, NSS Programme Officer, lauded the creativity and zeal of the students. "Initiatives like these instill a deeper respect for our Defence Forces and nurture a sense of responsibility among the youth," she remarked.
Gulshan Sharma, NCC CTO/ANO, emphasized the importance of such campaigns in fostering the values of discipline, unity, and service among young citizens. "It serves as a bridge between our future leaders and the core ideals of the nation," he noted.
The campaign's content, tagged with Dogra Degree College and MyGov, echoed far and wide, embodying the spirit of patriotism and honoring the selfless service of the Indian Defence Forces. Dogra Degree College reaffirmed its dedication to shaping responsible, patriotic citizens who truly believe in putting the "Nation First"-in thought, word, and action.
