Two held in Bishnah assault case, sharp weapons recovered by Jammu police

JAMMU, May 14: In a breakthrough, Jammu Police have arrested two criminals involved in an assault case reported in the Bishnah area. The swift action comes as part of the police's continued efforts to crack down on criminal activities in the region. The case stems from a complaint filed on 12th May 2025 at Police Station Bishnah by Manjeet Kumar S/O Ashok Kumar R/O Mehmoodpur , Tehsil Bishnah Distt Jammu. The complainant alleged that he was attacked by two individuals with sharp edge weapons namely:
Udhay Kumar @ Kalu S/o Jagan Nath R/o Ward No 10 Bishnah.
Sahil Kumar S/o Bachan Dass R/o Ward No 11 Bishnah.
The accused reportedly used two toka during the assault, leaving the complainant with serious injuries. He was taken to SDH Bishnah for treatment.
Following the registration of FIR No. 44/25 under Sections 126(2), 115(2), 3(5) BNS, and 4/25 Arms Act, a dedicated team of officers lef by SHO Bishnah inspector Sh.Sushil Choudhary started investigation into the matter.After conducting multiple raids, the police successfully apprehended both accused.
Upon sustained interrogation, the accused confessed to their involvement in the crime. The arms used ( Two toka) were recovered based on their disclosure. The case is currently under further investigation. The swift action by Jammu Police has been widely appreciated by the local community, who have lauded their dedication and efficiency in bringing the culprits to justice.
