BLSKS presented 495th musical play “Ekta - Ekta Ka Diya”

JAMMU, May 14: To promote the traditional culture of J&K Bhartiya Lok Sangeet Kala Sansthan (BLSKS) presented 495th wednesday series musical play "EKTA - EKTA KA DIYA" in collaboration with Sangam Tru Art Production at Durga Bhawan Temple, Jammu on the theme of National Integration and Communal Harmony. The function was inaugurated by Dr. Anju Dogra, Registrar SMGS Hospital, J&K Govt. as Chief Guest & the Guest of Honour were V.K. Magotra, Former Regional Director, Directorate of Field Publicity, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting Government of India, R.P. Amla Former Field Publicity Assistant of Directorate of Field Publicity, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India. Earlier before starting of the musical play the Patriotic Songs sung by the artists & students of the institute were, "EKTA - EKTA KA DIYA", "Ekta Ekta Ekta mai Sahas hai…….," Hum Sab Ek hai ……..", "Khud Jiyo Aur Dusro Jine Doo….", "Desh Ke Dularo Uncharahe Trianga", yeh dwesh hai veer janwano ka, rang de bastani chola, mera desh mera mulk and other Patriotic songs presented which were highly appreciated by the audience. The Musical Play " EKTA - EKTA KA DIYA "written, produced and directed by Dr. M.L. Dogra (Chairman, BLSKS) & the music was composed by M C Kotwal, Music Director, Blsks. The Chief Guest lauded the efforts of the organizers in making such awareness programmes colorful and effective through the children of Music, theatre and computer institutions as part of celebration of the National integration and communal harmony are intertwined, both aiming for a unified and peaceful society where all citizens, regardless of their background, can live together harmoniously. National integration focuses on uniting diverse communities and cultures within a nation, while communal harmony specifically addresses peaceful coexistence between different religious and social groups. The songs on this theme were also uploaded online on Social Media for the benefit of the peoples.
Welcoming the dignitaries Dr. M.L. Dogra, Chairman, BLSKS said National Integration refers to the perception of single national identity among people of a country belonging to various races, castes and religion. Communal Harmony refers to the harmony, acceptance and love among the people of various communities belonging to different castes, races and religion. We belong to a country which is characterized by great diversity. It is also a country with a very proud legacy of tolerance and respect for ways of thinking other than one's own. India is a land where diverse religions have flourished together for centuries and have enriched each other& also urged upon the people to come forward in making India- "A Proud Nation". on this day Indians proudly fly their tricolor Flag, sing patriotic songs like "Vande Mataram", "Jan Gan Man" and pay tribute to all the freedom fighters who sacrificed their lives in order to gain the freedom for India.
The singers ,musician, actors and students of music and computer institute who performed were Usha Raina, M C Kotwal, KK Joshi, Bindia Okheda, Chahat Chadha, Sanjeev Kumar, Kuldeep Raj, Rajni Gupta, Naiya Meenia presented the enthralled performance. This Program coordinator Master Deepak Kumar presented vote of thanks for successful conduction of the program.
