| Jugal convene officers meeting at Banihal | | |
DODA, SEPTEMBER 23 - Minister for Rural Development and Panchyati Raj Mr. Jugal Kishore Sharma asked the officers to accelerate the pace of developmental schemes and ensure their completion with in stipulated period besides ensuing complete transparency in funds spending under each sector.
The Minister was addressing a district officer meeting convened by him at Banihal the otherday. Minister of State for Agriculture, Horticulture, Forest and Higher Education Mr. Ajjaz Ahmed Khan was also present in the meeting.
Elaborating on various Rural Development Scheme which envisages upliftment of Rural people inhabiting in remote pockets through out state, the Minister said that government has decided to provide hundred days employment to one person of each family in Doda district who volunteers to work under the centrally sponsored scheme NREGS for Doda district. He directed the R&B functionaries to ensure distribution of job cards to the intending persons at the earliest possible time. Besides the Minister called upon the officers to maintain the registers of movement in their respective offices to ensure punctuality in addressing the problem of people in an effective manner.
In the meeting the District Officer of Agriculture, Horticulture, Forest Department were directed to submit prospective plan sector wise with in 15 days so that funds will be earmarked for the said works. In additional restoration of traffic of damage link roads, provision of sofar lights to the people of Mahumangat, Neel, Pogalparistan, Sona Bathi and Trigam, rasing of labour wages were also discussed in the meeting.
Among other Additional Deputy Commissioner, Ramban Projector Officer DRDA and other district officers were also present in the meeting. |
