Inqlabi demands relief for shelling victims, FIR against MP minister for derogatory remarks | | | Early Times Report RAJOURI, May 14: In a sharply worded statement, Chaudhry Rashid Azam Inqlabi has called upon the Hon'ble Chief Minister and the Hon'ble Lieutenant Governor, Shri Manoj Sinha, to take urgent action regarding the devastating impact of recent cross-border shelling in the Rajouri and Poonch districts. Highlighting the loss of civilian lives, extensive property damage, and the death of hundreds of livestock, Inqlabi criticized the administration's inaction in assessing damages and providing immediate relief to affected families. He urged authorities to dispatch assessment teams and initiate compensation and rehabilitation measures without delay. Inqlabi further demanded the construction of both individual and community bunkers in the vulnerable border regions to safeguard civilian populations from future incidents of unprovoked cross-border firing. In a separate but equally urgent appeal, Ch. Rashid Azam Inqlabi condemned derogatory remarks allegedly made by Madhya Pradesh Minister Shri Vijay Shah, targeting Colonel Sophia Qureshi, and called for an FIR to be lodged against the minister. Inqlabi stated that such remarks not only insult the Indian Armed Forces but also pose a threat to communal harmony and national unity. He urged the government to take strict action against those who engage in hate speech, particularly when it undermines the integrity of the armed forces and the values of secularism and respect that bind the nation. Inqlabi concluded by reaffirming his solidarity with the border residents and reiterated his commitment to advocating for their safety, dignity, and rightful compensation. |
