| Better hospital environ imperative for patient recuperation: Sham | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Apr 22- Continuing with the surprise visits to different health institutions of the State to assess the quality of medicare available to the patients, the Minister for Health Sham Lal Sharma today visited Government Hospital, Sarwal. The Minister went around all the wards, theatre, laboratory, OPD blocks and took stock of the facilities. He interacted with the indoor and outdoor patients and got the feedback about the treatment available in the hospital. He was also apprised about the latest innovations introduced in the hospital. He directed the Medical Superintendent of the Hospital to maintain proper sanitation in and around the hospital. He also stressed to further improve the facilities, like making additional seating arrangements for the patients and attendants besides, ensuring better environment for doctors in the hospital. He said that ideal work environment is imperative for the doctors to deliver on ground, adding that hospital apart from being recuperating centres should also serve as resorts providing opportunity for physical and mental resurgence of patients, as is generally seen in foreign countries. Director Health Services, Jammu, Dr. Jasbir Singh and CMO, Jammu, Dr. Shahid Moghal was also present on the occasion. Later, the Minister also visited Government Medical College, Jammu and enquired about the health of those hospitalized after the tragic road accident on National Highway near Hiranagar, yesterday. He interacted with the patients and wished them speedy recovery. He directed the doctors to provide best medicare to the victims.
