Gurjar Desh Charitable Trust pays heartfelt tribute to martyr ADDC Dr Raj Kumar Thapa

JAMMU, May 15: In a solemn condolence meeting held today at the premises of Gurjar Desh Charitable Trust (GDCT), Jammu, heartfelt tributes were paid to Martyr Dr. Raj Kumar Thapa, JKAS, Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC) Rajouri, who laid down his life on May 10, 2025, during cross-border shelling while serving the nation with unwavering commitment.
The meeting was chaired by Haji Arshad Ali Choudhary, Chairman of GDCT, and attended by a large number of trustees and senior members of the organization. The Trust expressed deep sorrow and grief over the untimely and tragic demise of Dr. Thapa, acknowledging his exemplary service and dedication to the people of Jammu and Kashmir.
Dr. Raj Kumar Thapa was widely respected for his integrity, discipline, and people-centric approach to governance. His outstanding leadership during the Budhal crisis in Rajouri, where he played a pivotal role in managing relief efforts, maintaining public order, and ensuring the safety of civilians amid challenging conditions, was specially remembered. His bravery and administrative acumen during these times earned him admiration from all sections of society. Patron-in-Chief Haji Abdul Hamid Choudhary, along with the Chairman, General Secretary, senior trustees, and staff of GDCT, paid glowing tributes to the martyred officer. They conveyed their heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family and offered prayers for the eternal peace of the departed soul.
