Kavinder calls INDIA Bloc a 'Tukde-Tukde Alliance' built on self-interest | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, May 16: Kavinder Gupta, senior BJP leader and former Deputy Chief Minister, today launched a sharp attack on the crumbling opposition alliance, calling the INDIA bloc a "Tukde-Tukde alliance" driven by opportunism, not ideology. His remarks come in the wake of senior Congress leader P. Chidambaram's candid admission casting serious doubts on the unity and future of the INDIA alliance. "Even their own leaders are now admitting what we have been saying all along - the so-called INDIA bloc is falling apart under its own contradictions. When Chidambaram says the alliance is 'frayed' and its future is 'not so bright', it only confirms that the bloc was stitched together not to serve the people, but to protect political dynasties and individual interests," Gupta said while speaking to media persons after paying obeisance at Maa Bawe Wali Temple in Jammu. Referring to Chidambaram's statement acknowledging the formidable organizational strength of the BJP, Kavinder said, "It is a matter of pride that even senior Congress leaders are recognizing the BJP as an unmatched force backed by the trust of the people. Unlike the INDIA bloc, the BJP does not rely on backroom deals or temporary friendships-we rely on the strength of our cadre and the vision of 'Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas'." Taking a dig at the alliance's internal contradictions, Kavinder said, "How can the public trust a coalition where parties are fighting each other in Kerala and Bengal but posing for photos together in Delhi? This is not an alliance of conviction-it is an alliance of confusion and convenience." The senior BJP leader termed the INDIA bloc as a classic case of "kushti-dosti"-pretending to fight on the ground while secretly collaborating behind closed doors. "The public has already rejected this hypocrisy. The INDIA bloc was always a tukde-tukde alliance-fragmented, disoriented, and directionless," he said. The former deputy Chief Minister said that as India marches ahead under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's decisive leadership, the people will continue to reject alliances born out of fear and self-preservation. Earlier in the day, Kavinder Gupta paid obeisance at the revered Maa Bawe Wali Temple in Jammu. He offered prayers and expressed gratitude to the Goddess, whom he hailed as the eternal Saviour of Jammu, for protecting the region and its people during the recent India-Pakistan conflict. "It is by the divine grace of Maa Bawe Wali that Jammu has remained safe and resilient in the face of external threats," he said. |
