Kavinder slams Congress Legislator for demanding proof of OP Sindoor

Early Times Report

JAMMU, May 17: Senior BJP leader and former Deputy Chief Minister Kavinder Gupta strongly condemned the controversial statement made by Congress MLA Kothur G Manjunath from Karnataka, who questioned the authenticity of Operation Sindoor, demanding proof of the surgical strike carried out by Indian Forces deep into Pakistani territory.
In a statement issued here today, Kavinder said that such statements are not only irresponsible but also shameful and demoralizing for the brave Indian Armed Forces. “Even the Prime Minister of Pakistan and several top Pakistani leaders have acknowledged that Indian Forces carried out a decisive strike under Operation Sindoor. Yet, a Congress legislator dares to question our military’s valour. The Congress should feel ashamed for harbouring such leaders,” he asserted.
Lauding the Indian Forces for giving a befitting reply to Pakistan following the Pahalgam terror attack, where 26 innocent Hindu tourists were brutally killed, Kavinder said the surgical strike under Operation Sindoor was a message to the enemies of India that terrorism will not be tolerated. “The nation stands united and proud of our Forces who avenged the Pahalgam massacre with unmatched precision and courage,” he added.
Kavinder also came down heavily on PDP leader Mehbooba Mufti for her repeated statements advocating friendly relations with Pakistan. “It is unfortunate that leaders like Mehbooba still speak in the language of appeasement. If she feels so uncomfortable in India, she should consider migrating to Pakistan,” he stated bluntly.
The former Deputy Chief Minister reiterated the Centre’s firm stance that there will be no talks with Pakistan unless the discussions revolve solely around terrorism and the return of Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK). “The Modi Government has made it abundantly clear—dialogue is possible only on terror and PoK. There is no room for compromise on national security,” he added.
