| SC welfare asso deputation calls on CS | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Apr 22: A deputation of all J&K scheduled caste welfare association today called on state chief secretary S.S. Kapoor and apprise him about problems being faced by the SC community in the state.
President of association B.R. Kundal who led the delegation apprised the CS that the community is suffering a lot and urged upon the CS to provide some solace so that they are able to give an honourable life and provide them fundamental rights under articles 46 of Indian constitution corresponding to 10 to 23 J&K constitution.
Kundal urged upon CS to adopt necessary measures for restructuring, reconstitution and revitalization of the “Advisory/ Development Board of the State”, and Board be upgraded and provided necessary infrastructure and separate budgetary grants at par with Gujjar Bakarwal Board and powers to deal with all fiscal matters. It would include implementation of SRO 294 as amended vide SRO 144 dated 28 May 2008 he said.
The delegation comprised of Om Raj Bhal, Milkhi Ram Majotra, Bhagat Ram Lal, Saran Dass Manyal and Ram Lal Lakhnotra etc.
