Early Times Report

Jammu, May 18: Adv. Rattan Lal Gupta, Provincial President of Jammu and Kashmir National Conference (JKNC), along with Sheikh Bashir Ahmed, Provincial Secretary, and Vijay Lochan, Chairman of JKNC SC Cell, visited the residence of late Sai Khan, former Sarpanch and a dedicated party worker, at Dhannu Panchayat, Block Bhalwal in Nagrota Assembly Constituency, to extend heartfelt condolences on behalf of Party President Dr. Farooq Abdullah, Vice President Omar Abdullah and party leadership.
Sai Khan passed away recently after a prolonged illness, leaving behind a legacy of commitment, service, and dedication to the cause of the people and the National Conference.
Paying glowing tributes to the departed leader, Rattan Lal Gupta described Sai Khan as a pillar of the party and a true follower of Sher-e-Kashmir Sheikh Mohammed Abdullah and Dr. Farooq Abdullah. He said Sai Khan’s long-standing association with the party and his unwavering commitment to public welfare made him a respected figure in the region.
“He was instrumental in raising vital issues concerning the common people and worked tirelessly for the development of his area in the fields of road connectivity, water supply, and electricity. His contributions will always be remembered,” said Gupta.
He further added, “Sai Khan’s demise is an irreparable loss to the party. Leaders like him are rare to find, and it will be very difficult to fill the void left by his passing.”
The senior NC leaders expressed solidarity with the bereaved family and prayed for eternal peace to the departed soul. They also assured the family that the party stands firmly with them in this hour of grief.
