Baijnath Paparola station redeveloped under Amrit Bharat station scheme

Baijnath (HP), May 18: Baijnath Paprola station lies on Pathankot-Jogindernagar Narrow guage Railway line under Jammu Division of Northern Railway. This Railway station is in scenic Kangra district making it an important railway station in Himachal Pradesh. The station is a convenient stop for travelers exploring the region. The station serves the pilgrims visiting Baijnath Temple, a revered Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Shiva, Chintpurni Temple, a popular pilgrimage site dedicated to Goddess Durga, Jwalamukhi Temple, a sacred shrine dedicated to Goddess Jwalamukhi, known for its eternal flames, Kangra Fort, a historic fort with a rich history, offering scenic views and Masrur Temple, an ancient rock-cut temple complex, a marvel of architecture.
Under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme, the station has been redeveloped and modernized. The Amrit Bharat Station Scheme is set to transform and revitalize 1309 railway stations across the nation.
Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi had laid the foundation stone of 553 railway station for redevelopment on 26 February 2024. These stations have modern passenger amenities like roof plaza, beautiful landscaping, inter modal connectivity, improved modern façade, kids play area, kiosks, food courts, etc. They are being redeveloped as environment friendly and also Divyang friendly. The design of these station buildings is inspired by local culture, heritage and architecture.
Following amenities have been improved at Baijnath Paprola station to offer passengers better services at the station:

• One AC Waiting room. (5m x 4 m)
• One Retiring Room (5m x 5 m)
• 20 no. steel benches on platform
• Baby feeding room
• New platform shelter (COP) over platform (1544 Sqm)
• Water booths 2 No.
• Water Cooler 1 No.
• Divyanag Toilet
• 4 water taps for Divayangjan
• Ramp at entrance for Divangjan
• One Booking window for Divyangjan
• Separate Parking area facilities for Divyangjan
• Train Indication Board in concourse
• Coach Guidance display system
