Early Times Report

Jammu, May 18: National Conference Additional General Secretary, Mr. Ajay Kumar Sadhotra, today cautioned against politicizing the heroic achievements of the Indian Armed Forces, emphasizing that their recent success in thwarting the misadventure of Pakistan is a collective victory of the entire nation.
Addressing a public meeting at Sanan Ghat, Dhar Mahanpur in Basohli, which was organized by Madan Lal Ex-Sarpanch and Raja Rafiq Block President, Basohli, Mr. Sadhotra said, “the valor of the tri-services reflect the indomitable spirit of India. This triumph is not of a particular party or group, but of every Indian who stood united against the aggression of a rogue nation. Attempting to politicize such acts of courage undermines the unity and morale of our forces and speaks volumes about the myopic and opportunistic nature of such politics.”
He lauded the exemplary unity demonstrated by the people, irrespective of religion, region or caste, saying this overwhelming solidarity has shaken the confidence of the enemy nation, which faced a befitting response from India’s armed forces.
“The enemy has been unnerved not only by the strength of our military response but also by the resilience and unbreakable spirit of our people,” he added.
Expressing deep solidarity with the victims of border shelling, Mr. Sadhotra extended his heartfelt support and concern for those who have suffered due to cross-border hostilities. He hoped that the government would prioritize the rehabilitation of affected families and take prompt steps to rebuild homes damaged in the shelling.
Responding to the issues raised by locals, Mr. Sadhotra assured that the issue of inadequate staffing at the local Higher Secondary School would be taken up with the concerned authorities to ensure the students do not suffer academically. Some of the students demanded that all the Arts subjects be introduced in the 10+2 Sanan Ghat School. Additionally, he shared concern over the proposed shifting of the Primary Health Centre (PHC) from the area, asserting that rather than relocation, the facility should be further strengthened to serve the growing healthcare needs of the local population.
“The government led by visionary Chief Minister Mr Omar Abdullah will address these genuine concerns on a priority basis,” he said. Mr. Sadhotra reiterated the National Conference’s commitment to standing by the people, advocating for their needs, and preserving the integrity of national institutions, including the armed forces, from becoming tools of political propaganda. He exhorted the people to maintain the glorious ethos of togetherness, saying unity in diversity has been India’s greatest strength. S/Sh Madan Lal Ex-Sarpanch, Mohinder Singh, Hans Raj, Pawan Singh Ex- Naib Sarpanch and Mashu Ram joined National Conference. Mr Sadhotra welcomed their joining and hoped that their dedication and zeal will further strengthen the party in this area.
