Early Times Report NAGROTA, May 19: The Annual Training Camp for National Cadet Corps (NCC) cadets of the Kashmir region commenced today at the NCC Training Academy (NTA) in Nagrota, marked by high enthusiasm, discipline, and a dynamic blend of physical and intellectual activities. The camp day began early with physical training (PT), yoga sessions, firing practice, and obstacle courses that set a high-energy tone for the cadets. In his inaugural address, Camp Commandant Col Saurabh Saxena motivated the cadets to perform with commitment and excellence during the training period. Rigorous drill sessions followed, instilling the spirit of discipline and precision. Lt Col Manpal Singh Dhanoa led an informative and inspiring session on the Service Selection Board (SSB), aimed at guiding cadets aspiring to join the defense services as commissioned officers. Highlighting the importance of health, Dr. Samridhi from the Primary Health Centre, Nagrota, conducted a special session on health and hygiene, focusing on wellness and preventive care. The day's activities successfully combined physical endurance with knowledge-based learning, reinforcing key values such as leadership, teamwork, discipline, and national pride.
