Pingla Mata Akhand Joyti lit at Ramnagar

UDHAMPUR, SEPTEMBER 23 - Akhand Joyti of Pingla Mata was today lit at Pingla Mata Chabutra in Ramnagar town amidst chanting of bhajans in the praisse of Goddess today.
MLC Mr. Ashok Sharma who was the chief on the inaugural day of Navratra festival lit the sacred joyti.
Tehsildar and SDPO, Ramnagar, members of Akhand Joyti Committee, Ramnagar, school children participating in the week long festival and devotees in large number were present on the occasion.
The chief guest announced an allocation of Rs.1 lakh from his constituency development fund for construction of a Sarai at the holy Pingla Mata site at village Pinger in tehsil, Ramnagar of district Udhampur.
Mr. Sharma also lauded the efforts of organizers of Navratra festival, students, artists and the people of Ramnagar for showing their keen interest in arranging dance, drama and bhaint competitions with zeal and devotion as also for purification of their mind and soul.
A langer was also organized at Narsingh Ji temple at Ramnagar on the occasion.
The sacred Akhand Joyti would be taken to the Darbar of Pingla Mata on Sunday i.e. September 24, 2006 in morning from Ramnagar in the form of a procession chanting bhajans and kirtan for which the tehsil administration has made adequate arrangements of security, transport, power and drinking water supply etc.
Various Social and Volunteer organizations would organize free langer at Shrine site for the yatris.
Likewise Akhand Joyti of Merhada Mata situated in Block Ghordi of district Udhampur was today lit at Ghordi at the house of Pt. Sham Lal amidst reciting of religious hymns in praise of Merhada Mata. The Akhand Joyti would be carried to Merhada Mata by the devotees after covering about 15 kms journey on -foot from Ghordi township on October 1, 2006.
