Court grants 5 day police remand of treasury official

Jammu, Apr 23- On a prayer of Vigilance Organization the Special Judge Anticorruption Jammu BL Bhat today granted five days remand of accused Subash Raina Account Assistant of Additional Treasury New-Plot who was caught red-handed by the VOJ while accepting Rs 2000 from the complainant.
The accused was produced in custody in the Court. The Senior Prosecuting Officer Suresh Sharma submitted an application for grant of five days remand of the accused for custodial investigation. Upon this the Court granted his five days remand of police custody.
According to the VOJ case one Radha Rani, daughter of Usha Rani of Bakshi Nagar lodged a written complaint alleging that Subash Raina, Accounts Assistant, Additional Treasury New Plots Jammu has kept family pension, PPO No 5190F of her mother, namely Usha Rani in his personal custody and he was demanding a bribe of Rs 2000 for the release of same.
