| NC leader revolts to contest LS polls from Ladakh | | Five more candidates file nomination papers | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Srinagar, Apr 23- Former parliament member and National Conference leader Ghulam Hassan Khan on Thursday revolted against the party to contest for the Ladakh parliamentary constituency that will go to polls in the last phase of the staggered five phase elections on May 13. Reports said that former NC parliamentarian; Ghulam Hassan Khan revolted against the party and filed his nomination papers as an independent candidate for the Ladakh parliamentary seat on Thursday. According to the seat sharing agreement reached between Congress and NC, the latter will field a candidate for the Ladakh Parliamentary seat. Congress candidate Ghulam Raza has already filed the nomination papers. Meanwhile, four other candidates filed their nomination papers for contesting the elections for the Ladakh parliamentary constituency on Thursday. They include Ashraf Ali, Tsering Namgyal, Tanzen Lakita and Aziz Munshi. With five candidates mostly independents filing their nomination papers today, a total of six candidates are in fray for the parliamentary elections so far. Friday is the last date for filing nomination papers for the constituency.
