| Krishan claims J&K open prize money squash title | | |

Krishan Kumar sealed a thrilling 3-2 win over Arshad Khan to claim the J&K Open prize Money Squash tournament played at Squash Court Jammu Club here today. The final score was 9-2, 6-9, 4-9, 9-1 and 9-6. Krishan Kumar won the first game quite comfortably but Arshad made a brilliant come back to win the next two games. Krishan somehow managed to keep his cool and win the next two games including the decider. Dr. Suri beat Arvind Sawhney by 9-6, 9-6 and 9-1 to finish third in the tournament. Vijay Singh Sambyal SSP Vigilance was the chief guest on the occasion who gave away the winning and runner up trophies to the players. Krishan won a cash prize of Rs. 3000 along with the winner’s trophy while Arshad Khan received Rs. 2000. Dr. Suri and Arvind Sawhney get Rs. 1000 each. Total 15 players had participated in the tournament commenced on September 21 and sponsored by Yougal Sons. The other players who participated in the tournament were Dr. Surinder Jamwal, Col. Verma, Col. Rawat, Hemant, Siddharth Sharma and Sandeep Sethi. |
