Early Times Report SAMBA, May 31: SPPND Government Degree College, Samba, organized a Certificate Distribution Ceremony to felicitate students who successfully completed a 20-hour Certificate Course on "Financial Literacy", held in March 2025. The course was conducted by the NIIT Foundation in collaboration with FICCI FLO Jammu, Kashmir & Ladakh Chapter and the college's Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC). The Financial Literacy course was designed to provide students with essential knowledge and practical skills in managing personal finance, budgeting, banking, savings, and responsible financial decision-making. The training was conducted by the faculty of the Department of Computer Science in three batches, covering students from various streams including Education, Sociology, Physics, and Commerce. The course concluded with an onlineexamination conducted and evaluated by NIIT Foundation. The certificate distribution event commenced with a welcome address, followed by an overview of the course objectives and learning outcomes. The Principal of the college, Prof. Dr. Twinkle Suri, presented certificates to the students and congratulated them on their dedication and performance. Students were honored in various performance categories, namely Outstanding, Excellent, Very Good, Good, Satisfactory, andParticipation (for those who attended the course but did not appear for the final exam). The event was marked by a spirit of achievement and encouragement. In her address, the Principal appreciated the collaborative efforts of the NIIT Foundation, FICCI FLO JKL, the IQAC Coordinator Assoc. Prof. Dr. Banpreet Kour, Course Incharge Assoc.
