SAMBA, May 31: Acting tough against criminals, Samba Police has booked a hardcore bovine smuggler under the Jammu & Kashmir Public Safety Act (PSA) and lodged him in Central Jail Jammu, Kot Bhalwal.
The hardcore bovine smuggler namely Shabir Shah S/o Bagh Hussain R/o Sher Bibi Chamanvas tehsil Banihal district Ramban A/P Malani tehsil Rajpura district Samba has been booked under PSA after obtaining formal detention order from the District Magistrate Samba. The booked criminal has been subsequently lodged in Central Jail Jammu, Kot Bhalwal.
The said criminal is involved in multiple FIRs registered against him during the year 2021, 2022, 2024 & 2025 at Police Station Ghagwal and Police Station Samba for indulging in bovine smuggling. The repeated criminal/bovine smuggling activities of the said hardcore bovine smuggler have posed a serious threat to public peace and tranquility in the area.
