Jammu, June 1: The Indian Yoga Association (IYA), in collaboration with India’s International Movement to Unite Nations (IIMUN), successfully concluded a powerful three-day Yoga Conference 2025 at Doon International School, Chowadhi, Jammu. The event aimed to equip youth with holistic tools to combat stress through the ancient wisdom of yoga and naturopathy. The conference was inaugurated and presided over by Dr. Shreyansh Kumar Jain, State Yoga Commissioner and Chairman of IYA (J&K UT Chapter), who served as the Chief Guest. The central theme of the event was “Stress Management among Youth (18–20 Years) through Yoga, Naturopathy, and Lifestyle Changes.” Opening Address and Vision of IYA Dr. Shreyansh Kumar Jain with team of Indian Yoga Association (IYA), was introduced, elaborating on its mission to unite all streams of yoga under one national umbrella. Key objectives highlighted included: Promoting yoga as both a science and a way of life Standardizing yoga education and certifications Advancing scientific research in yoga Supporting mental health through yogic practices The IYA team present included: Shri Sudha Chander Sharma (Joint Secretary, IYA), Shri Angrej Singh, Shri Yesh Paul Sharma, Shri Abhinandan Jain, Rajeev Gupta, Smt. Kanupriya Garg, Mrs. Anju Bansal, and Mrs. Rajni Bala. Key Highlights of the Conference 1. Keynote Address: “Understanding and Managing Student Stress” Dr. Jain emphasized the psychological and emotional stress faced by students aged 18–20, underlining the role of yoga, pranayama, and lifestyle shifts in reducing anxiety, improving focus, and enhancing resilience. 2. Live Yoga Demonstrations Yoga instructors Shri Angrej Singh and Ms. Renu Thaper conducted sessions on foundational asanas like Tadasana, Vrikshasana, Bhujangasana, and Paschimottanasana. 3. Pranayama & Breathing Techniques Smt. Kanupriya Garg led an impactful session on Anulom-Vilom, Bhramari, and Kapalbhati, highlighting their calming effects on the nervous system. 4. Meditation and Bhajan for Inner Peace Shri Sudha Chander Sharma guided a group meditation focused on emotional balance. A spiritually uplifting bhajan by Mrs. Anju Bala brought serenity and reflection to the gathering. 5. Lifestyle and Naturopathy Guidance Sessions emphasized stress management through natural approaches—balanced nutrition, digital discipline, sleep hygiene, and creative self-expression. IIMUN’s Participation and Felicitation Ceremony The IIMUN delegation, represented by Mr. Issa, Maryam (Assistant Director), and Mr. Ehsan (Director), played a key role in engaging students and managing the event. A heartfelt vote of thanks was extended, followed by a felicitation of Dr. Shreyansh Kumar Jain for his visionary leadership and dedication to youth well-being.
