| New Police Station for Crime Branch | | | Early Times report JAMMU, APRIL 24: For speedy disposal of Criminal cases, the Director General of Police, Mr. Kuldeep Khuda on Friday evening inaugurated Police Station and Photo Section of Crime branch in the premises of Police Control Room, Jammu. Addressing the gathering, Mr. Khuda said that on the opening of Police Station and Photo Section of Crime branch, the Police Department would provide new techniques to people for speedy disposal of their cases. He said that the Photo Lab would also provide facilities to police personnel for preparation of their Identity Cards, besides photographs of day-to-day activities. He asked the crime branch authorities to store all the old and new photographs of the branch and create archives so that the department can easily trace the record of photographs as and when required. Khuda said that mega construction works have been under taken across the state with the aim to upgrade the functioning of police department. He said that such type units would also be constructed soon in other parts of the state so that the crime cases of people could be solved at the doorsteps. Inspectors General of Police, Mr. K. Rajendra Kumar, Mr. Sheikh Owasis, Mr. Ashok Gupta, Mr. S M Sahai, Mr. Dilbagh Singh, Managing Director Police Housing Corporation, Mr. Ravinder Kotwal, SSP, Jammu, Mr. Manohar Singh, SSP, Crime, Mr. J. P. Singh and other senior officers police and crime branch were present on the occasion.
