Jammu, June 3: Anand Jain, IPS, ADGP Armed J&K, accompanied by Junaid Mehmood, IPS,Deputy Inspector General IRP Kashmir and Shri Shahid Mehraj, IPS, Deputy Inspector General Armed Kashmir visited Armed Police Complex Zewan today to review the functioning of various units stationed at the Armed Complex. The ADGP upon his arrival was accorded a warm welcome by the Officers present there. Sh. Jain took salute at the March Past presented by the various contingents, including the personnel undergoing special refresher courses. Jain on reaching the Complex, visited the Police Martyr’s Memorial Zewan and payed homage to the brave hearts ,who sacrificed their precious lives in the line of duty. On the occasion, various facilities were inaugurated by the ADGP which include, Football Ground, Wet Canteen, Joint Control Room, Kendriya Kalyan Bhandar Canteen, and She Box Women helpline, and other facilities, besides Inspecting Subsidiary Police Hospital Zewan. A special Darbar was also held on the occasion, during which the personnel raised service-related issues, and on-the-spot directions were given for redressal. Emphasizing hygiene, the ADGP directed regular cleanliness drives and medical check-ups for all personnel. Jain conducted a detailed inspection of infrastructure, including administrative blocks, barracks, mess, MT fleet, stores of the units located at the Armed Police Complex. He urged officers to stay vigilant ahead of the Shri Amaranth Ji Yatra 2025 and stressed adopting the e-Office system to enhance efficiency and reduce paper usage. Prominent Officers present on the occasion included, Ms. Bisma Qazi, IPS, Commandant Women 2nd Bn. Sh. Shahzad Salaria, SSP, Commandant JKAP 9th, Bn. Sh. Arif Amin, SSP, Commandant Border 2nd Bn. Sh.
