| 5.76 Grams Heroin like substance, One sharp edged weapon recovered | | |  Early Times Report
KATHUA, June 3: J&K Police Kathua under the overall supervision of SSP Kathua Sh. Shobhit Saksena IPS sucessfully arrested one Notorious drug peddler with approx. 5.76 grams of heroine like substance at Pallan, PS Billawar area. Also, one sharp edge weapon(Khokri) recovered from him was seized on spot.
On dated 02/06/2025 a Police Party of P/S Billawar led by SHO Billawar Insp Zaheer Mushtaq under the supervision of SDPO Billawar Sh Neeraj Padyar established a naka at Pallan (Billawar) on Dhar Road, and during Naka duty saw one person coming from Parnalla towards Phinter by foot, on seeing Police party, the said unknown person tried to fled away from there. On this police party apprehended the unknown person.While questioning he disclosed his name as Pankaj Sharma S/o Dev Raj R/o Pallan Tehsil Billawar Distt. Kathua . During his personal search *05.76 grams of Heroine(chitta) like substance and one Sharp edged weapon (Khokri) has been recovered from his possession.
In this regard a case FIR No. 87/2025 U/S 8/21/22 NDPS Act and 4/25 Arms Act stands registered at PS Billawar and further investigation was set into motion.
It is pertinent to mention here that the said person is already invovled in following NDPS Cases:
1. FIR No. 110/2023 U/S 8/21/22/29 NDPS Act of PS Billawar.
2. FIR No. 04/2022 U/S 8/21/22 NDPS Act of P/S Rajbagh
3. FIR No. 186/2022 U/S 8/15 NDPS Act of PS Ramban
The accused person was a hardcore drug peddler in the Billawar area who always tried to get the local youth involved in drugs and was also supplying drugs among the youth. |
