Report on Admission Counselling Activity by GDC Vijaypur

VIJAYPUR, June 3: GDC Vijaypur under the able guidance of Principal Dr. Ashu Vashisht with a team of dedicated faculty members undertook a week-long outreach program, visiting various Higher Secondary Schools in the region. During these visits, they interacted with Class XII students and provided them with comprehensive information regarding the courses offered at GDC Vijaypur, eligibility criteria and the admission process, academic and career opportunities after UG program, benefits of enrolling at GDC Vijaypur, including experienced faculty, co-curricular activities, and infrastructural facilities. The primary aim of this initiative was to guide and counsel Higher Secondary School students regarding admission to undergraduate (UG) programs at Government Degree College, Vijaypur. The effort was also aimed at motivating students to pursue higher education and make informed decisions about their academic future. Interactive counselling sessions were conducted in GHSS Ramgarh, GHSS Vijaypur, GHSS Rahya and GHSS Smailpur. Faculty members addressed students' queries and concerns regarding career choices and course selection. Motivational talks were delivered to inspire students to pursue higher education. Informational brochures and admission guidelines were distributed. Students were encouraged to visit the college campus for further counselling and a better understanding of academic offerings. The initiative was met with enthusiasm from both students and school staff. Students expressed interest in the UG programs offered by GDC Vijaypur and appreciated the efforts of the college in reaching out to them directly. The activity is expected to result in increased awareness and higher enrollment for the upcoming academic session. The week-long counselling campaign was a successful step toward bridging the information gap and promoting higher education among school students. GDC Vijaypur remains committed to student welfare and will continue such outreach efforts to guide aspiring learners toward academic and professional excellence.
