| Academy releases ‘Panj Geetrha’ | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Apr 24: The J&K Academy of Art, Culture and Language (JKAACL) release the book entitled ‘Panj Geetrha’ a collection of Dogri Poetry written by N.D. Jamwal, a renowned writer, poet and artist of National repute. Prof. Champa Sharma, a well known writer presided over the function. Prof Sharma, in her presidential address congratulated Jamwal for his latest collection ‘Panj Geetrha’ and applauded his contribution of not only for the promotion of Dogri Poetry but in the field of Dogri play and theatre also. She also complimented Zafar Iqbal Manhas, Secretary (JKAACL) for his efforts to bring academy on the front line since he took over as secretary. Earlier while welcoming the august gathering, Manhas said Jamwal is multi a faceted personality and since last many decades he is contributing for Dogri language and the visual arts as sculptor and painter. He further assured that in the summer session academy will accelerate more activities in Jammu region after the darbar move. Savita Bakshi, presented vote of thanks while Brij Mohan, Editor Dogri, conduced the proceedings.
