JU’s Law School brings laurels; Amandeep is best Speaker

Jammu, Apr 24- The moot court team of The Law School, University of Jammu comprising Amandeep Singh and Arif Sikandar as mooters and Natasha Zutshi as Researcher was declared 1st Runner Up at the 2nd NLS International Arbitration Moot Court Competition (IAMCC), 2009 held at National Law School India University (NLSIU), Bangalore.
Amandeep Singh, student of the 10th semester, was awarded the Best Speaker Award along with a cash price of Rs. 10,000 whereas Arif Sikandar of 8th semester was adjudged as the fourth Best Speaker. In all, 27 teams participated in the competition. The Law School team contested against all the National Law Schools of India and other International teams from United Kingdom, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh and exhibited best performance. The Director of The Law School Prof. Lalita Parihar, Academic Coordinator Dr. Arvind Jasrotia and Faculty members felicitated the team for their performance.
