Niaz demands repolling

Bhalessa, Apr 24- Former Minister and contesting Congress candidate from Bhaderwah Assembly segment Mohammad Sharief Niaz has demanded re-polling of the Polling station No.101 at village Manoo in Bhalessa area of Bhaderwah Constituency. He alleged that all the VDC and SPO members who were under the influence of liquor resorted to booth capturing and prevented Gujjar community for casting their legitimate right to vote as a result the majority of the voters especially Gujjars could not cast their vote. He said that immediately after receiving the report of booth capturing from the Polling agents the matter was brought to the notice of the I/C Security Officer on duty who showed his inability to handle the situation due to inadequate deployment of Police personnel comprising of six members only. He appealed the Chief Electoral Officer B.R Sharma for proper investigation of the incident and ordering re-polling of the Polling Station at Manoo.
