Jammu Police arrest two drug peddlers, recover 21.26 grams of heroin

JAMMU, June 6: Continuing its crackdown on drug trafficking, Police Station Bishnah has recovered a total of 21.26 grams of heroin-like substance from two individuals-both real brothers-known to be involved in narcotic smuggling and addiction.
On May 5, 2025, during the investigation of FIR No. 52/2025 under sections 8, 21, 22, and 29 of the NDPS Act, a police team from Bishnah recovered 10.28 grams of heroin from Chander Kumar, son of Joginder Pal, resident of Mehmoodpur, Bishnah. In a follow-up operation, 10.98 grams of heroin-like substance was also seized from his brother Gulshan Kumar, son of Joginder Pal, resident of the same locality.
The duo, both habitual offenders, were apprehended at Jinder Khurd as part of the ongoing efforts to curb the drug menace in the region.
Further investigation is underway to identify the source of the contraband and uncover the broader network involved.
The arrest and recoveries were made by the team of PS Bishnah led by SHO PS Bishnah,Inspector .Sushil Choudhary under the close supervision of SDPO R.S. Pura & SP Headquarters Jammu
