| R S Pura students protest against tehsil revenue officials | | |

Students of Higher Secondary School, R S Pura today protested against the dilly-dallying tactics adopted by the Revenue officials in issuing Income Certificate to the students for submitting the same in school for obtaining scholarship. Students alleged that they have been visiting to the Tehsil office for the last one week to obtain the certificate but on the one or another pretext officials of tehsil office have kept them at a bay.
After failing to obtain the certificate through the fair process, students resorted to the path of protest and shouted slogans against the revenue officials. Students also alleged that those who are bribing the officials have obtained the certificate instantaneously whereas others were harassed unnecessarily. BSP block president Suchetgarh, Mohan Choudhary also joined the students and demanded income certificates to all the students by Monday. He also warned to intensify the protest if demands will not be met.
It is to mention that Scholarship applications are being invited by the school management that must be accompanied with income certificate. And for obtaining income certificate Students have to pass through the tedious process of marking the application from Patwari, Naib Tehsildar and Tehsildar which is nothing but a excuse to harass the applicants. |
