In the last few years, Jammu and Kashmir has witnessed a completely new work culture focussed on industrial growth that benefits all sections of society. Recently, Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha while speaking at a function highlighted the transformation that the Union Territory has witnessed during the past few years. The massive Infrastructure development is stimulating rapid economic growth of J&K. It has put the UT on the path of becoming the principal market of the north, a manufacturing hub and a competitive provider of services At the heart of this transformation is a young, skilled, and determined workforce. Gone are the days of helplessness and dependency; today, J&K’s youth are brimming with confidence, ideas, and aspirations. They are eager to lead change, create opportunities, and contribute meaningfully to the region’s economic revival. In LG Sinha’s words, “We are witnessing an era of rising aspirations. Our youth are dedicated to creating a vibrant and industrious society and they have taken their destiny into their own hands.” This spirit is visible in the proliferation of startups, innovation hubs, and entrepreneurial ventures that are taking root across the UT — from Srinagar to Samba. The government’s policy ecosystem is also playing a pivotal role. The new industrial policy, incentives for entrepreneurs, ease-of-doing-business reforms, and focus on skilling and upskilling have collectively created an environment where businesses can thrive and investment can flourish. Importantly, the benefits of this growth are not limited to urban areas; there is a concerted effort to ensure that rural and marginalized communities are integrated into this new growth story. The new evolving work culture is marked by accountability, innovation, and productivity. It is redefining the narrative of Jammu and Kashmir. It is shifting focus from grievances to growth, from isolation to integration, and from unrest to resurgence. With the continued support of a proactive administration, a resilient population, and a national push for equitable development, the future of J&K appears promising. The task ahead is to sustain this momentum and ensure that the gains of industrial and economic growth are inclusive, sustainable, and resilient. Jammu and Kashmir is not just rebuilding its economy — it is reclaiming its potential. And as this new work culture matures, the UT under the leadership of LG Sinha is well on its way to becoming a beacon of prosperity and stability in the region. |
