The meeting focused on discussing the pressing issues faced by the teaching fraternity in the jammu region. The primary concern raised was the non-implementation of the transfer policy in the ten districts of Jammu Division. Another significant issue discussed was the delay in the Departmental Promotion Committee (DPC) meetings, which is hindering timely promotion of Teachers to Masters and other cadres, causing stagnation and demotivation among deserving officials. The gathering also highlighted the non-regularization of Laboratory Assistants who were promoted as Teachers in 2018 in different districts and also masters who were promoted as Lecturers in various subjects. ABRSM State President Rattan Sharma urged the Commissioner Secretary to Education to promptly resolve the ongoing issue and direct the Director School Education Jammu to expedite the process. He emphasized the urgency of the matter and called for immediate action to ensure timely redressal and smooth functioning of the system.
