Early Times Report RAMBAN, June 9: A pivotal district-level meeting of the Akhil Bhartiya Rashtriya Shaikshik Mahasangh (ABRSM) Ramban was held today at Batote under the chairmanship of the State President, Shri Ratan Lal Sharma .The gathering witnessed active participation from dedicated karyakartas and education professionals across various institutions in the region. The primary agenda of the meeting was to restructure and strengthen the district-level organization and bring to light several pressing issues faced by the teaching community. In a major development, a new district body of ABRSM was unanimously elected, reflecting the collective aspirations of the local educators. Dr. Ramparshad Singh Manhas was elected as the President of the new district unit , entrusted with the responsibility of leading the district organization with renewed vigor. Alongside him, several office bearers were appointed, including: Pawan Kishore - District General Secretary Dr. Jeevan Singh -Distt Sr Vice President Sh. Pritam Singh - Vice President Mrs. Nisha Lata - Vice President Sh Jewan Singh- Vice President Mrs. Preety Khajuria - Additional General Secretary Sandeep Singh-Joint Secretary Sudershan Singh, - Joint Secretary Rakesh Kumar - District Media Secretary During the session, extensive discussions were held on various issues of concern to the teacher community. Prominent among these were the Annual Transfer Drive, timely convening of Departmental Promotion Committee (DPC) meetings, Transparent transfer policy for Grade II, III teachers, OPS, Rationalisation of Teachers and the need for administrative reforms to streamline career advancement and service-related processes for educators. Speakers at the event highlighted the urgent need for transparency, accountability, and time-bound implementation of policies related to transfers and promotions. They stressed that these measures are essential to motivate teachers and ensure their optimal contribution to the academic landscape. In his presidential address, Shri Ratan Lal reaffirmed ABRSM's unwavering commitment to the welfare of teachers. He urged all members to stay united, vigilant, and proactive in facing challenges and contributing meaningfully to the cause of education. "The Mahasangh will leave no stone unturned in securing the rights and dignity of teachers across the region," he declared. The meeting concluded with a vote of thanks and a shared commitment among all members to intensify their efforts for the overall betterment of the education sector and to ensure dignity and fair treatment for all teaching professionals.
