2 arrested in Bhaderwah

Bhaderwah, April 25 : Police claimed to have arrested two sympathizers of militants, from Malsoo and Upper Dandi villages under the jurisdiction of police station Bhaderwah.
Police identified the arrested persons as Abdul Gani son of Khar Din resident of Malsoo and Abdul Qayoom son of Mangat Bhat resident of Upper Dandi in Bhaderwah.
Acting on a tip off, police nabbed two sympathizers of militants who had allegedly given shelters to them. Sources told that both the arrested persons had provided food and shelters to Ashraf Hussain alias Abu Jehadi resident of Chaka and Mudassir Hussain alias Abu Furkan resident of Dandi in Bhaderwah, for whom security forces had launched a search operation.
Informed sources said that during the night of April 23 Abdul Qayoom militants had stayed at his residence at village Upper Dandi, Bhaderwah and on the other day, they went to the residence of Abdul Gani, in village Malsoo.
Police said that case FIR against the arrested persons have been registered under section 307/212/216/RPC/7/27 Indian Arms Act at police station Bhaderwah. Police said that investigation in the case is on.
Meanwhile, sources told that late last night security had launched a massive hunt at village Malsoo after developing information about the presence of militants in the area.
Sources said that the search operation was restarted in the early morning hours in the said village but till 11 AM to success was achieved. Hence, security forces called off the operation.
Reliable sources told that the search operation was re-started after intercepting some wireless messages from adjoining forests area of Malsoo village.
Sources said that security in hundreds cordoned off the whole area including Anura Nagar and Malsoo forest in search of the hold up militants, from this evening. However, no arrest or contact was established with the militants.
The search operation was still on till the last report poured in.
