JAMMU, June 9: In a praiseworthy initiative aimed at strengthening police-public relations and offering respite from the intense summer heat, Police Station Domana organized a Chabeel (sweet water distribution) followed by a Bhandara (community meal) for the local residents. The event was inaugurated by DIG JSK Range, Shiv Kumar Sharma, IPS, who was accompanied by SP Rural Jammu, Brijesh Sharma; SDPOs of Nagrota and Akhnoor; and SHOs of Domana, Kanachak, Akhnoor, and Gharota. A large number of local residents participated in the event and appreciated the efforts of the police department to connect with the community through such humanitarian and public-friendly gestures. This initiative not only provided much-needed relief from the extreme heat but also served as a valuable step toward building trust, goodwill, and stronger ties between the police and the public. |
