Early Times Report JAMMU, June 10: To promote and preserve the traditional Duggar culture of Jammu & Kashmir & celebrate the Sudhmahadev Mela 2025, Bhartiya Lok Sangeet Kala Sansthan, Jammu organized there days Sudhamahdev Sanskrti Mahaostav at Govt. Hr Sec. School, Sudhmahadev form 10thJune 2025 to 12th June 2025 in close coordination with Central Bureau Communication (Ministry of I&B), J&K Academy of Art Culture, Sudhmahadev Mela Committee, Department of Youth Services and Sports, Ministry of Culture, Govt. of India & Jk Dharmarth Trust Sudhmahadev. Jagat Guru Shankeracharya Swami Adakishanand Dev Thirath Shri Maharaj Goverdhan Peeth was the chief guest on the occasion and lighting traditional lamp to inaugurate the cultural festival. Along with Balwant Singh Mankotra MLA Chenani, Sunil Bhadhwaj MLA Ramnagar, Rajneet Singh Kotwal, SDM Chenanni, Senior Superintendent of Police Amod Ashok Nagpure, Additional, Pankaj Singh Pahu, Tehsildar Chenani & Mela Officer, Som Raj, Principal Govt. Hr Sec. School ,Sudhmahadev, Rakesh Manhas, Incharge Cultural activities and other senior officers besides representatives of Mela committee were the Guest of Honour. The program was commenced with Sarastwati Vandana, after lighting Traditional Lamp and presented Light classical Dance Om Sankalpamastu,3 Sanskrit Shalok from Yazurveda(Manch Pooja). All the Programme was presented in the mela under the direction of Gulam Abbas, Director with Central Bureau Communication (Ministry of I&B) & Dr. M.L. Dogra, Chairman, BLSKS. The chief guest lauded the efforts of the organizers in making such an events historical festivals and highlighted the importance of dugger culture in promoting traditional folk & culture including folk music and folk dances. While addressing the pilgrims MLA Balwant singh Mankotia, addressing the all officers who are participation in the festival will work in coordination and all members come forward meeting the festival grand success as public participation of great importance in promoting tourism and economy of the area. The program was also recorded & uploaded online for benefit for general public. Welcoming the dignitaries and pilgrimages Dr. M.L. Dogra, Former Regional Director ,Song and Drama Division, Government of India, informed the aims& objectives of the programme, promotion of duggar culture, "Swatch Bharat" and "Beti Bachao Beti Padao", in far flung area of Jammu Province and presented the folk form of Duggar Pradesh, Gitru, Kalaye Kanwan, Sailran Thara, Desh Bhati Song, merorumal (Kududu) , Taren Tudan Piayn, Jagarna, o-jija kiya jana udhampura, bakh, etc). Dogra also said the story of Sudhmahadev, a popular legend associated with this shrine is as, once, when Goddess Parvati was in deep prayer, a demon called Sudheet came to pay his respectful obeisance. But his demonic look frightened the Goddess and She made a loud shriek. Her cry revered acted across the mountains surrounding the valley. Lord Shiva was disturbed by the sound. When He opened his eyes, He saw the demon, at whom he hurled his invincible Trident (Holy Trishul). More than 2 thousand devotees witnessed the programs. Sh. Dogra also thanks Mela Officer Sh. Pankaj Singh for supporting & coordination for best conduction of programe. The singers ,musician ,actors and students of music and computer institute who performed in the musical play were Usha Raina, Rajni Gupta, K. K . Joshi, M C Kotwal, Kuldeep Raj, Bindia Okheda, Master Deepak Kumar, Balwinder Kumar, Anjana Sharma, Sona Jamwal, Sanjeev Kumar and various school's childrens of sudhmahdev school were also participated under the direction of Department of Youth Services and Sports & Education Department and many others presented the enthralled performance. Som Raj, Principal of host School presented vote of thanks for successful conduction of the program. |
