EARLY TIMES REPORT Jammu, Apr 25- For the smooth conduct of Baramulla, Srinagar and Anantnag Lok Sabha elections, the Divisional Commissioner, Jammu, Dr. Pawan Kotwal today discussed arrangements made by Assistant Returning Officers at Jammu and Udhampur for Kashmiri migrant voters for polling at migrant polling booths. Deputy Commissioner Vigilance Relief (ARO), Jammu, Harcharan Singh, Assistant Commissioner (ARO), Udhampur, Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Jammu, Rajinder Singh and Tehsildar (Incharge Election Cell) S. K. Dutt were present on the occasion. In the meeting, the Divisional Commissioner, Jammu discussed various issues including constitution of polling parties, deployment of polling staff, randomization of EVMs, transport and security, preparation of marked copies of electoral rolls and their approval from concerned District Election Officers of Kashmir valley, establishment of strong rooms, counting halls, inspection of polling stations, appointment of sector and zonal magistrates other allied arrangements. He said that 12 polling booths have been set up in Jammu and one polling booth in Udhampur for the convenience of Kashmiri migrant voters. He said that Anantnag, Srinagar and Baramulla are going to polls on April 30, May 7 and May 13, 2009. The Assistant Returning Officer of Jammu informed the Divisional Commissioner that 3455 M-Forms have been received besides 12-C Forms have been received till date. In Udhampur, the ARO apprised that 80-M Forms have been received for Anantnag Parliamentary Constituency and draft electoral rolls for 230 voters have been prepared.
