VIJAYPUR, June 12: Department of Environmental Sciences and EcoClub (Green Warriors) of GDC Vijaypur organized an Essay writing competetion under the guidance of worthy Principal of the college, Dr. Ashu Vashisht in context with World Environment Week celebration 2025. The competition, themed "Beating Plastic Pollution," aimed to raise awareness and foster innovative solutions among students regarding the pressing global issue of plastic waste.
The competition saw enthusiastic participation from students across various departments, who demonstrated remarkable insight and creativity in their essays. Through their words, participants explored the multifaceted challenges posed by plastic pollution and offered thoughtful perspectives on mitigation strategies, sustainable alternatives, and the role of individual and collective action. Ankush Kumari of Sem II stood first in the competetion, whereas Ankur Heer and Riya Devi stood second and third, respectively.
The whole program was organized by Dr. Arti Sharma, Head, Department of Environmenal Sciences and Convener, Eco Club of the college. A panel of distinguished judges, comprising Dr. Manoj Heer and Dr. Naseem Choudhary and Dr. Nain Singh, meticulously evaluated the entries based on their originality, clarity of thought, research depth, and constructive recommendations. |
