Amit envisions Cooperative & Telecom Sectors growth in multiple Mizoram meetings

AIZAWL (MIZORAM), June 12: Amit Sharma, Secretary to Government, Cooperation & ICT Departments, Mizoram attended and held a series of important meetings over last couple of days, in all-important, Cooperative & Telecom sectors, towards excelling growth & improving telecom connectivity in the state of Mizoram.
During the ongoing UN-declared International Year of Cooperatives (IYC), 2025, with the theme "Cooperatives Build a Better World", two very important Annual General Assembly Meetings of Apex Cooperative Federations of Mizoram were held including MIZOFED (Mizoram State Cooperative Marketing and Consumer's Federation Ltd) and MCAB (Mizoram Cooperative Apex Bank), led by Mizoram Cooperation Minister P.C Vanlalruata, in the presence of Amit Sharma, Secretary Cooperation Mizoram, wherein lot of vision-sharing, brain-storming and major decisions were taken to benefit Cooperative Sector, in-particular, Cooperative Marketing & Consumers as well as Banking sectors here.
Secretary Cooperation, Amit Sharma, during his series of speeches, mentioned that these Annual Assembly Meetings hold a special significance this year, as they are being held during the ongoing Int'l Year of Cooperation, 2025 and he specifically suggested multiple innovative steps to boost respective sectors including setting-up of Multi-Purpose PACS, CSC-model operation for offering e-Services through them, going for multiple new ventures, total automation & Computerization of all bank branches, etc . in the presence of Cooperative Minister and lot of other dignitaries and respective Board of Directors who gave a special appreciation to such thought sharings for benefitting the public of state.
Apart from this, Secretary ICT & Cooperation Mizoram, Amit Sharma, also chaired a very important meeting on the improvement of telecom connectivity and addressing various pending issues with the Department of Telecommunications, Government of India. During this meeting which was attended by Ajay Negi DDG, DoT, PGM BSNL, JS and DS, ICT Department, CIO and PIO from Directorate of ICT, Mizoram, lot of issues including issuance of Notification for Call Before You Dig (CBuD) under new laws, Installation of BTS especially under 4G Saturation Scheme in remote areas of state, Extended Broadband Connectivity in the state and sort out several related issues within defined timelines.
It is worthy to note that Secretary Cooperation and ICT Mizoram Amit Sharma, who played a vital role in both these Annual General Assembly Meetings of Apex Cooperative Bodies, alongwith Telecom sector meetings, both these important sectors which are very essential for socio-economic upliftment of public, shall get special focus and impetus by the Government for ensuring equitable growth and development in Mizoram in the times to come.
