EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, April 25: A 20-member team was announced today by Jammu and Kashmir Football Association (JKFA) for the forthcoming 18th Junior (U-21) National Football Championship to be held at Goa. The team, accompanied by the officials, shall proceed for the venue tomorrow. Earlier, the selected players underwent a 21-day coaching camp at Mini Stadium, Parade here under the guidance of Sports Authority of India (SAI) coach, Prem Singh. “In the opening match, J&K shall face mighty Bengal on April 30, followed by the next league game against Karnataka on May 2nd ,” vice-president of Jammu wing of JKFA, Dr Nirmolak Singh told SAN. Prominent among others present were treasurer of JKFA, R K Kohli, David Masih, Ramesh Kumar and Mohan Lal, both direct members of the Association. The team: Waheed Noor, Mohd Shafi Gojree (goal-keepers), Vinay Kumar, Aman Thapa, Hilal Ahmed Beigh, Harneet Singh, Pankaj Kumar, Imran (defenders), Jamsheed Ahmed Bhat, Wasim Noor, Auquib Farooq, Asif Qadri, Aijaz Ahmed Dar, Vivian, Vinay Sotra (link men), Rohit Sandhu, Bilal Ahmed Dar, Aiman Rashid, Mohd Altaf and Sunil Mashi (forwards).
