Jammu, June 13: To promote and preserve the traditional Duggar culture of Jammu & Kashmir & celebrate the Sudhmahadev Mela 2025 , Bhartiya Lok Sangeet Kala Sansthan, concludes 3 days with Mega Devotional Performance in its 497th Friday Series Musical Play “ Bham Bham Bhole” at Sudhmahadev - Mantali , in close coordination with Ministry of Culture , Govt. of India , Central Bureau Communication (Ministry of I&B) & Jk Dharmarth Trust Sudhmahadev. Maharaj Parkash Cheba Agni Akhara, Pujari Shiv Parvati Mantali temple was the Chief Guest on the occasion . Along with Members of Aparneswar Mantalai Temple’s Trust , Sh. Rajneet Singh Kotwal , SDM Chenani, Sh. Pankaj Singh Pahu ji , Tehsildar Chenani & Mela Officer, Sh. Som Raj , Principal Govt. Hr Sec. School ,Sudhmahadev , Sh. Rakesh Manhas, Incharge Cultural activities and other senior officers besides representatives of Mela committee were the Guest of Honour. Hon’ble Chairman Trustee Dr. Karan Singh ji and other Trustees Ashok Sharma ( IPS Retd.) Secretary of Jammu and Kashmir Dharmarth Trust thanks to Bhartiya Lok sangeet Kala sansthan , Ministry of Culture , Govt. of India , Central Bureau Communication , JK Academy of art culture and languages , Department of Information & Public Relation, Udhampur, Department of Youth Servies & Sports, Chenani for Excellence performance & Contribution in the sudhmahadev mela ( 10th to 12Th June 2025). The Chief Guest lauded the efforts of the organizers in making such an events historical festivals and highlighted the importance of dugger culture in promoting traditional folk & culture including folk music and folk dances. During festivals and fairs people visit this temple to just listen to the songs sung by the sages and saints. These songs are dedicated to love shared between Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati. An ancient temple of Lord Shiva, also known as Aparneswar is located near Mantalai Lake. This is the place where mother Parvati was born and got married to Lord Shiva. The main shrine is very small and having an idol of Parvati as kanya. Another set of idols of Shiva and Parvati together and Shiva, Parvati and Ganesha is also found. However, the shiva lingam is the main idol of the temple. more than 50 thousands pilgrims seek the blessing of Lord Shiva. The Specially items prepared on the theme “ Koun Kare Teri arti Bhole Ji ”, “ Koi akhe Ram koi alha”, “Mera Bhola Na Mane ”, “ Shiv Nath Teri Mahima” “Swatch Bharat Ho ”, “Mere Hikdu Gadbad”, “Savdhan Savdhan ae Bhaart vasi Savdhan”, Nukkad, Skits , Songs were presented. The program was also recorded & uploaded online for benefit for general public. Welcoming the dignitaries and pilgrimages Dr.M.L.Dogra, Former Regional Director ,Song and Drama Division ,Government of India, informed the aims & objectives of the programme, promotion of duggar culture. Dogra also said the story of the Mantalai Temple, located in the Udhampur district of Jammu, is a revered Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Shiva. It is believed to be the birthplace of Goddess Parvati and the location of her marriage to Lord Shiva, offers a peaceful and serene environment amidst towering deodar trees and mountains. Pilgrims in large number visit the shrine on the full moon night of Sawan to participate in the festival to worship Lord Shiva. The mystical underground stream, Devak believed to be as sacred as the Ganges originates at Sudh Mahadev and disappears among the rocks some distance downstream . A few kilometers further ahead of Sudh Mahadev is Mantalai, surrounded by lush deodar forests. As per legend ,it is the place where lord Shiva got married to goddess Parvati. The singers ,musician ,actors and students of music and computer institute who performed in the musical play were Usha Raina , Rajni Gupta, K. K .Joshi, M C Kotwal, Kuldeep Raj , Bindia Okheda, Master Deepak Kumar, Balwinder Kumar, Anjana Sharma, Sona Jamwal, Sanjeev Kumar and many others presented the enthralled performance.
