The Chenab Bridge is one of the greatest engineering marries in the world. It is the highest railway bridge on Earth built over the chenab river in Jammu and Kashmir. The bridge is a pride moment for every Indian and show how skilled and advanced Indian Engineers have become. The chenab Bridge is a part of the Udhampur- Srinagar- Baramulla Railway line (USBl). Chenab Bridge built in more than 20 years the construction of the Bridge was authorized in 2003 by Giridhar Raja Gopalan. A completed recently and inaugurated by our Honorable PM Narendra Modi. It connects the Kashmir valley with the rest of India by rail.
The Bridge is 1,315 meter long and stands 359 meters about the river trailer then the Eiffel Tower. Made of steel and Concrete the bridge is strong Enough to with stand Earthquake and highspeed wind. Its was designed to last over 100 years. The construction took many years and faced many challenges like tough weather and rocky mountain but the engineers never gave up. |
