NOWSHERA, June 14: On 14.06.2025, during routine patrolling duty in the Kanara area, a police team of PS Nowshera intercepted a suspicious individual, later identified as Tarlochan Singh S/o Bhagwan Singh R/o H.No. 20 Qila Darhal. On search, the said person was found to be in illegal possession of approximately 10 litres of illicit liquor, which was being kept for unlawful sale in the locality, thereby violating the provisions of the Excise Act. On spot, the accused was taken into custody and the contraband seized as per procedure. Accordingly, FIR No. 78/2025 U/S 48(A) Excise Act registered at PS Nowshera. Accused was formally arrested and investigation initiated.
