Early Times Report RAMGARH, June 17: Government Degree College, Ramgarh organized a Youth Workshop on Sardar Patel's Vision of a Skilled, Educated, and United India, jointly conducted by the NSS Unit 'Prabha' and the Department of Physical Education and Sports, under the able guidance of Prof. (Dr.) Meeru Abrol, Principal of the college. The workshop aimed to educate students on the remarkable contributions of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel in shaping post-independence India. Known as the Iron Man of India, Sardar Patel played a pivotal role in the political integration of over 560 princely states, with special reference to the decisive and strategic merger of Hyderabad, Junagadh, and Jammu & Kashmir into the Indian Union. His unwavering commitment to unity, strength through education, and youth empowerment continues to serve as a beacon for the nation. Students from B.A. Semester 4th - Bhoomika Sharma, Chahat Tadyal, Komal Devi, and Harmandeep Kour - actively participated in the workshop. They spoke about the historic process of integrating princely states into a unified India, emphasizing how Sardar Patel's diplomatic acumen, determination, and strategic foresight laid the foundation for the nation's territorial and administrative unity. The students also reflected on the ongoing importance of unity, education, and skill-building in strengthening the fabric of modern India. The event was successfully coordinated by Prof. Brham Dutt, NSS Programme Officer in collaboration with Mr. Ashok Kumar (Physical Training Instructor), who addressed the gathering and highlighted the continued relevance of Sardar Patel's vision in today's national and educational landscape. |
