IGNOU notifies Learner Support Centre

JAMMU, June 17: With the approval of the Vice Chancellor, Indira Gandhi National Open University, based on the recommendations of the Sub-Committee of Student Support Centre (SSC) in its 9th Meeting held on May 7, 2025, IGNOU has notified the Learner Support Centre (LSC) in the prestigious Govt. Gandhi Memorial Science College, Canal Road, Jammu for BSCM (Bachelor of Science) and MSCZOO (Master of Science in Zoology) programmes. The Code allotted to the LSC is 12133. This will be an LSC in the regular category and the first ever Learner Support Centre of IGNOU in the entire Jammu division to have been notified exclusively for Science programmes.
IGNOU has recently thrown its online portal open for fresh admissions for the July 2025 admission cycle on June 10, 2025. IGNOU Offers more than 250 programmes at UG, PG, Diploma, PG Diploma, PG Certificate and Certificate levels. The minimum eligibility criteria for UG courses is that students must pass 10+2 from a recognized university and for PG courses, candidates must be a graduate from a recognized university. The desirous candidates can submit the application form through online mode.
The applicants can access the admission portal on the University's National website www.ignou.ac.in Homepage or directly follow the link https://ignouadmission.samarth.edu.in. Candidates aspiring for admission will be able to complete their admission process on this portal before the deadline. The last date to apply for admission through the online portal has been fixed for July 15, 2025.
"The desirous candidates who wish to be a member of IGNOU extended family must avail this opportunity and apply for any of the programmes of their choice well before the last date approaches", said Dr. Sandeep Gupta, Regional Director, IGNOU Regional Centre Jammu. Dr. Sandeep also cautioned the prospective learners not to fall in trap of any fraudulent persons or callers who may approach for payment of admission fees through QR Codes, WhatsApp or any other social media platforms because IGNOU does not ask for any such details on any platforms other than the University website itself.
