Jammu police, South Zone reunites missing woman with family

JAMMU, June 17: In yet another instance of prompt and effective policing, Jammu Police, South Zone successfully traced a missing woman and reunited her with her family. In a separate action, two suspected drug peddlers/addicts were apprehended and booked under relevant provisions of the law by Police Station Bagh-e-Bahu.
A woman (name withheld) R/o Bahir, presently residing at 14 B/B Gandhi Nagar, who had been reported missing since 21-06-2024, has been successfully traced by the police team. After completion of all legal formalities, she was safely handed over to her husband. The family expressed gratitude towards the police for their determined and empathetic efforts.
In a separate crackdown on suspected narcotic activities, Police Station Bagh-e-Bahu apprehended two suspicious individuals engaged in drug peddling. The accused have been identified as:
Sultan Mohd S/o Murad Ali R/o Dwara Majeen, Jammu
Rakesh Kumar S/o Ashok Kumar R/o Sidhra, Asrarabad, Jammu
Both have been booked under sections 39 and 128 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNSS).
These actions were executed under the direct supervision of SDPO East Sh. Sheezan Bhat-JKPS, SDPO South Sh. Sunil Singh Jasrotia, SP South Sh. Ajay Sharma-JKPS, and overall supervision of SSP Jammu Sh. Joginder Singh-JKPS.
