DDC Reasi reviews implementation of agriculture schemes | | | Early Times Report
REASI, June 17: District Development Commissioner (DDC) Reasi, Nidhi Malik convened a comprehensive review meeting today to assess the progress of the agriculture and allied sector credit-linked schemes. The meeting was attended by functionaries of stakeholder departments and representatives from banking institutions The meeting focused on the performance matrix, sanctioning, and disbursement status of key schemes, including the Pradhan Mantri Formalisation of Micro Food Enterprises (PM-FME), PM-KISAN, Kisan Credit Card (KCC) and the Agriculture Infrastructure Fund (AIF). The DDC emphasized the vital role of banks in supporting farmers by ensuring hassle-free and timely credit disbursement, which is crucial to achieving the district’s agricultural development goals. DDC Reasi Malik inquired about the number of pending cases under the Holistic Agriculture Development Programme (HADP) and sought clarification on the reasons for pendency in the AIF scheme. She also directed the Agriculture Department to organise special training sessions for KKGs to enhance their understanding and outreach capabilities. Further, the DDC instructed to widely circulate the calendar of upcoming awareness camps, ensuring transparency and public participation. She directed the Agriculture Department to organise awareness camps in Mahore and other areas to inform the local population about various schemes and how to avail the benefits of the same. The meeting was attended by CPO Reasi Narinder Kumar, CAO, CHO, CAHO, DSHO, Cluster head and other concerned officers. |
