Desh Bhagat University Inaugurates New Information, Counselling Centre

PATHANKOT, June 18: In a strategic move to extend its reach and empower learners with accessible, future-oriented education, Desh Bhagat University (DBU) has officially inaugurated its Information and Counselling Centre (ICC) in Pathankot. This strategic expansion aims to serve as a centralized hub for students and professionals seeking flexible and globally relevant academic options.
During an interaction with media persons here today, Dr. Harsh Sadawarti, Vice Chancellor of Desh Bhagat University, said that the newly launched DBU ICC Pathankot will offer expert guidance and support across a wide spectrum of programs, including, Regular Degree Programs, Online Learning Courses, Open & Distance Learning (ODL), and DBU Americas International Education Tracks.
Equipped with state-of-the-art infrastructure and a team of experienced academic counsellors, the Pathankot centre is designed to support learners with personalized counselling, detailed program insights, admission support, and career planning services.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Harsh Sadawarti said that "Our goal is to empower every learner in the region with the right tools and direction. DBU ICC Pathankot ensures access to modern education pathways right at your doorstep."
This launch underscores DBU's broader mission to champion Industry 4.0-driven education by merging innovation, flexibility, and global relevance, thereby equipping students for dynamic, future-ready careers.
The DBU ICC is now open to the public and welcomes walk-ins and appointments for academic consultations.
Speaking on this occasion, Dr. Harsh Sadawarti stated, In a compassionate response to the recent Pahalgam tragedy, Desh Bhagat University (DBU) has announced full scholarships and employment opportunities for the victims' families.
DBU's broader commitment to inclusivity is reflected in its range of scholarship programs, which provide financial assistance to meritorious students, sportspersons, students with disabilities, and those from economically weaker sections. The Shakti Scholarship empowers girl students, preparing them from the classroom to the boardroom.
Dignitaries including Mr. Amit Kukreja, OSD to the President, Mr. Keshav Sharma, Director at EduVanguards, and Dr. Gurlal Singh, Admission Coordinator of DBU, were in attendance, underscoring the importance of the new counselling centre.
