| NSF demands early declaration of results | | | Early Times Report Jammu, April 26 : National Secular Forum urged the Chief Minister Omar Abdullah as Pro-Chancellor of the University of Jammu to personally look into the delay of the examination results. This was demanded by NSF president Vikas Sharma while addressing media persons here today. Vikas said that students’ community has been suffering due to delay in the declaration of results. He said that more than four to five months have passed but results of most of the arts subjects including second semester of Sociology, Home Science besides others subjects are still awaited. He said that large section of students willing to fill the application in Public Service Commission has been deprived of their right to fill the forms. He said that there is the need of comprehensive investigation as to why results in the varsity get delayed for months. Referring to the fee collection counter, Vikas said that these counter should be increased looking to the rush of the students. He said that students coming from far-flung areas of the state have been problems because counter for the sale of examination forms are closed at 11:30 AM adding forcing students to wait for another day to get an examination form. He said that timing of the examination sale counters should be immediately increased for the facility of the students.
